We had a big day. At breakfast, Molly snagged my french bread and decided to use it as a teether. Megan will be SO proud. She managed to suck it into a soggy mess. She also ate yogurt, banana, and congee. Once her stomach was full, a miracle occurred and she acquiesed to play on the floor with chopsticks and other kids. And I got to eat with two hands.
After breakfast, we went to the market and bought LOTS of souvenirs. Molly was awake during the first half of the excursion, but slept through the second half. Meanwhile, everyone we passed wanted to look at her, pinch her cheeks, or touch her hand. She tolerated it very well. That's growth.
After the market excursion we had lunch and then Molly and I plopped ourselves down in the chair pictured above. From this position, I've discovered she will alternate between being playful and needing cuddling. Apparently its a good position for growth. Once she got herself comfortable, she played the "Allo" game. After that the games were on. Turns out she has several noises (besides crying) that she can make. She can click, motorboat, and babble. And she thinks they're all really funny. She also thinks its hilarious if you have something on your head. Or if there's something on her head. We did some work on peek a boo. And, we're starting to develop some real communication as well--she has certain behaviors when she's after her water bottle and others when she wants food. Who knew?
While we were playing, one of the other families dropped by with their 2-year old and we had our first play date.
but now shes up

Good morning! Sounds like things are going well, so glad. Love the play dates in the hotel room, they were my sanity. Have you decided where to go after you have the Visa? Are you going to visit Ha Long Bay?
Thanks for the update, I look forward to checking in each morning! btw, Trey still cracks up if I put anything on my head or his!
You talk about developing a relationship and learning how to communicate on all levels . . . That's an adorable picture. It's a blast watching the growth and enjoying the stories and pictures. Thanks for taking the time. Love, Dad
Too cute!!!!
It's great that you have been able to take(have) time each day to share with us how you and Molly are getting to know each other! You're doing great!!
